Important Notice about Academic/Technical License Registration

Because of growing concerns about privacy, we do not accept academic/technical license applications that involve personal identification submission any more. Should a security incident happen, collected personal information could be vulnerable, which we do not want happened at all. To minimize the security risk, we decided not to retain any sensitive personal information especially on the server.

However, we are going to introduce a free edition of software that can be used by students and others for free without a requirement to submit applications. Thus, students will not need to send personal information in order to receive license keys, and their privacy information will be completely protected while they will still have access to our software for free.

We are working hard to release the free edition, so please come back to our web site again, or subscribe to our newsletters to receive the news as soon as it becomes available.

Notes

  • If you have already received an academic/technical license, you can still use that license as long as you keep it.

  • EmEditor plug-in authors can still receive technical licenses. Please contact us with a web site URL where we can find your plug-ins.
